The Postulator General for the the cause of Blessed James Alberione is in the U.S. this week to look into the case of my grandson Owen. Owen was severely brain-injured at birth, and was put on hospice care after three doctors at Children's Hospital concluded that he was not likely to survive long or to respond to aggressive care. We all prayed to Blessed Alberione, Founder of the Pauline Family of which I am a lay cooperator. Our prayers were answered, and Owen was healed. We have proposed his healing as a miracle of intercession by Fr. Alberione, to support his cause for canonization.
I took this video Saturday so I could show it to the three doctors at Children's Hospital who will be meeting this afternoon with the Postulator. All three have agreed to be interviewed, and know of Owen's remarkable outcome. But I thought they might like to see what he's like now at age 2 and a half. It's been awhile since two of them have seen him at all.

My sister Marguerite's spiritual insights lift my spirits

Father Miles Barrett returned recently from Iraq, where he served as Navy chaplain. He recently gave a talk at a retreat my sister Marguerite attended, and inspired her to take keyboard in hand to express herself.

HOW IT WORKS
I met Christ the other day in another person.
I recognized him right away,
Although the joy and wit, the humility and wisdom, were utterly original.
Lucky me: this man did the work to receive and transmit God.
Lucky me: I chose to be a seeker.
